Stansted is within easy reach of central London. It is situated 38 miles to the north east of London with direct access from junction 8 of the M11 motorway, is less than 20 minutes away from junction 27 of the M25 Motorway. It is also convenient for Bedfordshire and Hertfordshire via the A505 and A414, accessible to the whole of East Anglia via A11, A12 and A120. London Stansted is linked directly to the North and Midlands by the A1 and A14 which joins the M11 at junction 14.

Extensive long and short stay car parks are available and no pre-booking is necessary.

No pre-booking is required but arrangement can be made by telephoning 01279 681192 or Lo-Call 0345 405000. Payment is made on your return in the terminal building at any of the automatic pay stations or at the car park payment desk. Cash, cheque, credit cards and foreign money are accepted.

If you have a special need the car park operator will provide assistance in getting you to the terminal. There are frequent courtesy buses to and from the terminal. Reserved parking bays for orange badge holders are located in the short stay car park, close to the terminal entrances. Access into the terminal is by lift or ramp. For assistance use the information telephones provided next to the parking bays. Payment is made when you return from your trip. Automatic payment machines are located in the international baggage reclaim hall, international arrivals concourse, in the check-in area and at the car park exits. Cash and credit cards are accepted. Remember to take your car park ticket with you on your flight! If you are paying by cheque or voucher, or if you have any difficulties, for example if you have lost your ticket, please go to the cashier at the car park payment desk on the international arrivals concourse. You may also pay the cashier with foreign currency.
