[ The Millenium Dome is now closed ] Built to celebrate the new century, the Millennium Dome is the largest single structure in the UK. At 320m in diameter, 50m high, it is tall enough to accommodate Nelson's column, big enough for 13 Albert Halls or two Wembley stadiums. There are six zones to visit within the dome. The Body Zone is the most popular one, voyaging into a human machine that is larger than the Statue of Liberty. The Faith and Spirit Zone is one of the most important in the Dome commemorating the birth of Jesus Christ and exploring the world's major religions and beliefs. Next in the Learning Zone you can discover the future of education and work. In the Dream Zone get in touch with your imaginative and creative side and return refreshed. The Play Zone is dedicated to helping us find a better balance in our lives, portraying play as part of our personal, social and cultural identity. Lastly in the Living Zone you can choose how to protect your environment day by day. Opened daily 1000-1800.
