The residence of the Prime Minister since 1732 when King George II presented it to Sir Robert Walpole, Britain's first Prime Minister. Here lies the Prime Minister's headquarters, just moments away from the Houses of Parliament. The exterior is unimpressive but beyond the famous doors is an extensive political network. Tony Blair's family is so large he has moved into 11 where economic policy is developed. From 12 the Party campaign is created and planned.
